It is with great sadness that the family of William R. "Bill" Fearnley, Jr., of Norwood, formerly of Needham, Wellesley and West Roxbury, announces his passing on Wednesday May 9th, 2018, at the age of 57 years. Bill will be forever remembered by his three daughters, Caroline, Annie and Marie. He was the former husband of Colette (Desmond) Fearnley. He is also survived by his mother, Margaret (MacDonald) Fearnley, and his siblings Stephen, Matthew, Mark, and Elizabeth. Bill will also be remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and close friends. Bill was born in Needham and is a 1979 graduate of Needham High School. He earned his undergraduate degree and a Masters' in Business Administration from Babson College, and worked in the computer industry for more than 30 years. Bill was an avid golfer and enjoyed the outdoors. He will be remembered as a devoted father, son, brother and friend. Visiting hours in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Avenue, Needham, on Monday May 14th from 4 -7 pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph Church, 1362 Highland Ave Needham, on Tuesday at 10 am. Interment will be at Mt. Benedict Cemetery in West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's name may be made to the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund at or 300 Arnold Palmer Boulevard, Norton, MA 02766, or to a charity of your choice.
