Virginia (Mooshian) Panella, 91 of Needham died suddenly surrounded by family on May 14th 2018. She was the daughter of the late Archie & Grace (Arakelian) Mooshian. Virginia was born in Lawrence. She attended the Boston Conservatory of Music and was a solo soprano. She sang at the Lawrence Street Church. She also sang at concerts, weddings and funerals, and taught piano lessons. She worked many years at Western Electric in Haverhill as an Analyst.
The love of her life was her husband Ed. They met on a blind date and it was love at first sight. They were engaged 6 months later. They moved to Needham and began their beautiful life together. We will always remember her and Ed dancing together, they were a beautiful couple. Family meant everything to Virginia. She enjoyed decorating and had a knack and talent for designing her home. Singing was her passion, she had a beautiful voice and also loved playing the piano. She loved babysitting for her great grandchildren and spending time with them. She enjoyed getting together for family dinners at her daughters home. Virginia was stylish and classy and unlike anybody else. She was a giving, caring and beautiful woman who will be greatly missed.
The beloved wife of the late Edward Panella, Virginia was the loving mother of Douglas Panella and his wife Trisha of Norwood and Jeanne Bolio and her late husband Kevin of Needham. She was the devoted sister to Gloria Peters, and the late Theresa Goshdigian and George Mooshian. Dear Grandmother to Michael Bolio, Lindsey O'Brien and her husband Thomas, Matthew Panella and his wife Stephanie, and Jeffery Panella. Cherished Great grandmother to Peyton, Teaghan, and Thomas Jr. Virginia enjoyed being with her family the most, she was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be greatly missed. Private services were held on Thursday May 17th at Eaton Funeral home in Needham. Donations can be made to the ALS foundation in honor of the late Kevin Bolio.
