Vaughn Yacobian, 89, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2017 at the Stanley R. Tippett Hospice Home in Needham, Massachusetts. Vaughn was predeceased by his loving wife Beverly Ann. He is survived by his daughter Carysusan and her husband Geoffrey Hogan of Norfolk, Massachusetts; son Robert and his wife Dorothy of Needham, Massachusetts; and daughter Lori and her wife Courtney Parks of Santa Monica, California. Vaughn is also survived by his four loving grandchildren: Stuart and Paige Yacobian of Chicago, Illinois; Tyler Hogan of San Francisco, California; and Peter Hogan of Williamsburg, Virginia. Vaughn was first and foremost a family man and the patriarch of his extended family. He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, raised in Newton, Massachusetts, served in the United States Army, and received a Bachelor's Degree at Boston University. Vaughn summered on Cape Cod (where he met his wife Beverly and where they eventually retired) and was an avid golfer and boater. He also enjoyed traveling but found time spent with his family to be his most cherished activity. Vaughn was a true gentleman who touched many lives over the years, was someone who overcame life's adversities with grace, and is a man who will be missed very much by all who knew him. A celebration of Vaughn's life will be planned in the spring. Very special thanks go to the entire staff at the Tippett Hospice Home. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Vaughn to VNA Care, Fund Development Office, 199 Rosewood Drive, Suite 180, Danvers, Massachusetts 01923.
