Thomas F. Galvin, of Brighton, passed away at his home on Dec 17, 2016, in his 100th year.
Tom was born in Yonkers, NY and had been a Brighton resident for over 70 years. He was a carman for the MBTA for over 30 years and served in the US Army during WW II.
Tom was the beloved husband of the late Mary E. (McDermott) Galvin and the loving father of William F. (Eileen) of Brighton, John M. (Gail) of Canton, Patrick J. of Brighton, Thomas J. of Belmont and Mary M. Galvin of Brighton. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
His funeral will be from the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St Newton Corner on Thurs Dec 22 at 9:30 followed by his Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Mission Church), 1545 Tremont St. Mission Hill at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment Mt. Benedict Cemetery West Roxbury. Visiting hours Wed 4-8 PM.
