S. Susan (Jablonsky) Wallace, of Needham formerly of So. Chatham died on Dec 31, 2016. She was 97.
She was born in Boston and served during WW II as a WAVE in the U.S. Navy. She was a plotter at Hunters Point in San Francisco. Following the war she worked as a pension accountant for the Comm of Mass. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and travelling and had volunteered as a reader for Boston College radio station WBBC and for the Catholic Guild for the Blind
She was the wife of the late William Caucci and Ronald Wallace, and the loving aunt of Bryan Mathaisel and his wife Patricia, Bernard Mathaisel and his wife Miriam, Dennis Mathaisel and his wife Clare Barbara Lee and he husband Phil and the late Joan Fontecchio and her late husband Al, she is also survived by many other nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Aver Needham on Fri Jan 6 at 9 AM followed by her Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph church at 10 AM. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Thurs 4-7 PM.
