Rose Mary (Maguire) Kelly, of Hingham, formerly of Hyde Park, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 3, 2017, at her home at Linden Ponds.
Born and raised in Charlestown, she was the daughter of the later Frank and Alice (Driscoll) Maguire. Rose Mary volunteered and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. After being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, she worked for the US Postal Service for over 20 years.
The beloved wife of the late John P. Kelly of Hyde Park, formerly of Mission Hill, Rose Mary is survived by her children, John P. and his wife Marilyn of Dedham, Francis X. of Dorchester, Thomas M. and his wife Betty Ann of Myrtle Beach, SC, Joseph R. and his wife Anick of Sudbury and Rosemary Murphy and her husband Thomas M. of Hingham. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, on Thursday, April 6th from 4-7 pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph Church, 1360 Highland Ave, Needham, on Friday morning at 11 AM.
Interment with Military Honor to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
