Robertus Boudewijn Maria van Zadelhoff
Rob van Zadelhoff, of Sherborn, MA, formerly of Medfield and Westwood, MA and born and raised in The Netherlands. Rob passed away peacefully on March 13, 2018 at the age of 74 after a long battle with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. After over 50 years of marriage, he leaves behind his wife, Christine, his children Rosemarie Sawyer and husband Erik of Wrentham, and Marc and his wife Remke of Weston, along with seven grandchildren. Rob comes from an extensive family in Soest, The Netherlands and leaves behind three sisters, while he survived four brothers. A proud graduate of Nijenrode University, Rob was an executive with The Foxboro Co. / Invensys, Inc. for 44 years where he had the opportunity to travel the world and make lasting friendships. He was an active member at the Dedham Country and Polo Club, which he joined in 1982, and The White Mountain Ski Runners of NH, in addition to various prior clubs in The Netherlands. He loved golf and tennis, and was an avid photographer and woodworker. Rob was a very devoted husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed time spent with family. There will be no services but Rob's wish was to have close friends and family gather to celebrate his life. If you wish to honor Rob's memory, donations may be made in Rob's name to Nchima Trust (nchimatrust.org/donate), a charity in which he was personally involved.
