Peter Ravinski of Needham, passed away on March 1st, 2017. He was 94.

Peter was raised in Needham, graduated from Needham High School and went on to serve in the US Army during WWII. He worked for many years as a glass blower and provided quality control in the production of medical instruments for the McGregor Co in Needham, and later worked for the John G. Shelly Co in Wellesley. Peter was a devout Catholic, an avid Red Sox fan, and a longtime member of the Village Club in Needham.

He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy L. (Allee) Ravinski, the loving father of Stephen Ravinski and his wife Gianna of Matthews, NC, Jean Brayton and her husband Gary of Plymouth, Donna L. O'Connell and her husband Michael of Millville and the late Donald R. Ravinski; and the brother of Mary Ravinski of Needham. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be on Wednesday March 8th from 4-7pm at the Eaton Funeral Home located at 1351 Highland Ave in Needham. His funeral will be on Thursday March 9th at 9am at the Eaton Funeral Home, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Church at 10am. Interment with Military Honors will occur in St. Mary's Cemetery. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Peter to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (P.O. Box 650309, Dallas TX 75265) would be greatly appreciated.
