Paz A. (Avena)Moreno, of Needham, passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. She was 85 years old. Beloved wife of the late Luis A. Moreno. Loving mother of Elmer Moreno, Rolando Moreno, Anna Liza Smith and Maripaz Ferrer. Grandmother of Jason and Kristen. Sister of Ester Paguio and the late Lourdes Javier, Concepcion Avena, Domingo, Floresto and Venancio Resurreccion. Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, on Friday December 29th from 4-7 pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph Church, 1362 Highland Ave Needham, on Saturday December 30th at 10 am. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Originally from Candon, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, Paz was a Needham resident for over 40 years. She was a former employee the former Glover Hospital in Needham and retired from Blue Cross in Boston as a Claims Examiner.
