Paula J. Flaherty, of Newton passed away on Mar 15, 2016. She was 52.

Paula had been a volunteer in the mail department at Newton Wellesley Hospital and had worked at McDonalds. She was also a mail handler and participant in the day program at the Barry L. Price Rehabilitation Center in Newton. Paula loved country music, The Osmonds, dancing and was an avid reader of newspapers especially the Boston Herald.

Paula was the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Mary (Kenneally) Flaherty, the dear sister of Maureen McGrath and her husband Gerry of West Roxbury, Elaine Burke and her husband Bobby of West Roxbury, Kathleen O'Toole and her husband Michael of Newton, Marianne Berube and her husband Patrick of Norwood, Tricia Canning and her husband John of Newton and Michael Flaherty and his wife Jeanne of Waltham, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be from the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. Newton Corner on Sat Mar 19 at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady Help of Christians Church at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours are Fri 4-8 PM. Interment will take place in Newton Cemetery.
