Michele Lencioni of Newton Upper Falls died Wednesday Sept 6, 2017 at the Brigham & Women's Hospital surrounded by family. Beloved husband of 68 years of Livia (Petroni) Lencioni. Devoted father of Ilia and John Fisher of Lexington, Mickey and Bob Kielty of West Newton, Michael and Lina Lencioni of Walpole. Loving Grandfather of Tim, Dorrie, Megan, Michelle, Ariana, Nicholas and Matthew and loving Great Grandfather of Laila. Born in Lucca Italy Jan 25, 1923 to Amabilia and Alfredo Lencioni, the youngest of nine children. Michele left his beloved Italy to provide a better life for his wife and young children. He arrived in America on 6/23/54 aboard the SS Constitution. He lived in Cambridge, Somerville and then was a Newton resident for 57 years. He was a hardworking man who held many positions in multiple disciplines throughout his long life. You'd often find him singing and whistling as he worked in his yard. He loved tending to his vegetable and Flower Gardens and hand making beautiful sculptures out of beach stones, raising rabbits, making his own very special aperitif for the Holidays, cooking and tinkering in the basement where he was Mr. Fixit and could repair just about anything. He was an avid Red Sox fan following the games on radio or TV. When he retired he returned to the Woodland Golf Club where he could enjoy his passion for cooking again. A kind and warm-hearted man who was respected and liked by everyone who knew him. Visiting hour will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, on Monday Sept. 11th from 5-7PM.
