Mary L. (Horstman) Huse, of West Newton died on Nov. 25, 2017. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Edgar F. Huse, the loving mother of Thomas A. and his wife Deborah of Watertown, Joseph A. and his wife Karina of Bahrain, M. Kathryn Huse of West Newton, Susan M. and her husband John McDonagh of McLean VA, the late William D. and his surviving spouse Bernadette Anderson of Del Mar CA, the late John, the late Patricia H. McVeigh and her surviving spouse Christopher of Middlesex VT and the late Robert Huse. Grandmother of Thomas Jr., Christine, Megan, Julia, Stephen, Brian, Jessica, Karolyna, Matthew, Brendan, Kieran, Quinn, Erin and Amy and great grandmother of 6. She was also the sister of the late William Horstman.
For many years, Mary was a social worker (PhD; LICSW), with Mass Mental Health, Cambridge Hospital, and Catholic Charities of Boston. She also taught social work at Simmons College and Boston College.
Visiting hours will be in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St Newton Corner on Wednesday, November 29 from 4-7 PM. Interment will be private.
A memorial service will be held in January at the Lutheran Church of the Newtons.
