Mary Ann Hauptman wife of the late Joseph W. Hauptman Jr., died March 10, 2018, she was 80 years old. Mary lived in Medfield and she passed peacefully in Needham, after battling pancreatic cancer.
Mary was born July 27th, 1937, in Cambridge, the daughter of Ernest and Winifred McCloskey. She was a long- time resident of Needham and worked as Payroll Manager at Weston Golf Club for over 15 years. Mary enjoyed spending time with family and visiting North Conway, NH.
Mary is survived by brother John McCloskey of Fort Myers Florida. Her four sons, Joseph III and his wife Cynthia Hauptman of Chester, NH; Richard and his wife Beth Hauptman of Millis, MA; Steven and his wife Christine Hauptman of Townsend and John and his wife Deborah Hauptman of Bellingham. Mary is survived by 7 grandchildren; Brenna, Cody, Jolene, Chad, Casey, Cameron and Haven Hauptman. She is predeceased by her grandson Ross Hauptman. Visiting hours will be held in Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, on Wednesday, March 14th from 4-7 pm. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph's Church, 1362 Highland Ave, Needham, on Thursday at 10 am. In lieu of flowers the family welcomes donations to be made in her memory to Vernon Cancer Center at Newton Wellesley Hospital. www
