Mark Joseph Murphy, 58, of Needham, died suddenly on November 21, 2017.
Mark was born on June 7,1959 in Boston, to the late Frank Murphy, Sr. and Margaret Donohue Murphy. Married to Tracy Vaughan Murphy in 1983, Mark was a devoted father to Matthew and his wife, Joana, Daniel, Brian, and Marie Murphy. He is also survived by his three loving siblings, Frank Murphy of New York; David Murphy and his wife, Lori of Norton; and Mary Murphy Williamson and her husband Mark Williamson of Norfolk, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mark graduated from St. Michael's College, and enjoyed every moment in Vermont where he made lifelong dear friends. In Boston, Mark began a successful career in finance and developed a passion for the stock market. Mark and Tracy raised their four children in Needham, surrounded by the love of family and great friends in a community they treasure. Mark will be remembered for his intellect, his sense of humor, his fierce loyalty to his children, and his overwhelming generosity to all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, November 28th from 9:30 -11:00 am in St. Joseph's Church, 1360 Highland Ave in Needham, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Needham Cemetery.
Please omit flowers. Donations in Mark's name may be made to St. Joseph's Parish.
