Leslie (Lee) Haydu Carter, formerly of Medfield, MA, age 74, died on March 6, 2018, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Lee is survived by her children, David and Kristin Robbins, of Natick, MA, Nancy and Scott Kane, of Medfield, MA, and Alexander and Emily Carter, of Brooklyn, NY, along with her grandchildren Nova (14) and Rex Robbins (10) and Brayden Kane (10). She is also survived by her sisters, Cynthia Bush, of Apollo, PA and Patricia Clorfeine, of El Cajon, CA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Graham Guy Carter, of Medfield, MA. Lee was born on April 8, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to parents Edith and Leslie Haydu. She graduated from SUNY New Paltz in NY and soon after moved to Boston, MA, where she taught music (piano) and movement for 40 years. Lee was a kind, compassionate woman with a thirst for knowledge and a love of nutrition and exercise. She adored music, teaching and studied Buddhism for many years. The family will be holding private services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer's Association (alz.org)
