Navy Emblem

Kennison N. Gale of Needham, MA, age 89, died on January 17, 2017 while surrounded by his family. He was born in Portland, Maine on February 25, 1927. He was a Navy veteran and an active alumnus of Babson College, class of 1949. Married in February 1951, Ken and Judith Plumly met as children and began dating after college. Ken retired after a long sales management career with the Marine Office of America. And for the past twenty years, he could be found daily at Chromasonic TV in Needham, MA.

Ken had great relationships with, and would do anything for his children, grandchildren and great grandchild. It was his passion to always help. Whether providing care, taking them to lunch, enjoying day trips, or making improvements on their houses while visiting, Dad/Pop/Grandpa was always involved. His enormous heart carried over to friends, neighbors, and even strangers.

As members of Christ United Methodist Church in Wellesley, Ken and Judy and the minister Amy developed a friendship. Ken and Judy became completely devoted to her young children, Derek and Kaleb, filling the role of grandparents.

He is survived by wife, Judith, and their children, Kennison N. Gale, Jr. and wife Martha of Watertown, MA, Peter C. Gale and wife Nancy of Franklin, MA, Katharine Gale Buress and husband William of Westborough, MA, and David E. Gale and wife Ann of Simpsonville, SC, six loving grandchildren, Kate, Lauren, Daniel, Kathy, Charlie, and Kristen and great grandchild Alice.
