Kathleen M Rose-Fabis of Medfield, passed away at her home on March 1, 2017. She was 57.
Kathy was born in Natick and graduated in 1977 from Needham High and went on to receive her bachelors degree in nursing from Northeastern University and was a RN. She received her Masters in nursing from Regis College and was pursuing her PhD. She worked at the Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia and then as the Medical Department nurse for John Hancock Insurance Co. She had been a nurse case manager in the Psychiatry Department at Tufts Medical Center in Boston for nearly 15 years and won the Saltonstall Excellence Award in October of 2009. She had also served on the Board of Health in Medfield and enjoyed golf, swimming and travelling.
She was the beloved wife of Philip M. Fabis, the daughter of Russell J. and the late Eileen M. (Dorry) Rose of Needham, sister of Mary Eileen Rose of Needham, Russell J. Rose Jr. and his wife Patricia of Sarasota FL, Michael G. Rose and his wife Jacqueline of Medfield, Robert P. Rose and his wife Janis of West Poland ME, Brian J. Rose of Needham, Timothy P. Rose and his wife Jane of Natick, Suzanne M. Lowry and her husband Bryan of Richmond VA and Christine M. Schmidt and her husband Paul of Bristol, RI. She is also survived by 22 nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Wed Mar 8 at 9 AM followed by her Mass of Christian Burial in St Joseph Church at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours are Tues Mar 7, 4-8 PM.
