Josephine (Pellegrini) Curatola of Needham passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017.
She was born in San Donato, Italy on March 20, 1930 to Domenico and Donata (Tocci) Pellegrini. She was the loving wife of the late Samuel (Erasimo) Curatola. She was a devoted mother to Sandra Bryan and her husband Jeff, MIchael Curatola and Gwen Rober and their son Maxx, and Robert Curatola and his wife Julie. Sister of the late Armando Pellegrini, Nazarene Pellegrini,Antonetta Salvucci, Alfredo Pellegrini and Donald Pellegrini. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Nicholas Bryan and his wife Angela, Stephanie Gibson and her husband Travis, Samuel Curatola, Luca Curatola, Adeline Curatola and Tessa Curatola and two great grandchildren; Samantha Gibson and Dylan Gibson.
Josephine worked for the Town of Needham as a crossing guard. Jo was an avid reader and loved to visit the Needham Public Library. She also enjoyed the outdoors and loved to garden in her homes in Needham and New Hampshire. She was happiest spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She faithfully and lovingly took care of her husband Samuel and that same spirit of giving was extended to all who needed a helping hand. She opened her home graciously to all who needed a place to stay, no matter whom they were or where they came from. We love you Nona and you will be missed.
A private Memorial Mass and Burial will be held.
