Jane (Russell) Bielski, of Needham, passed away on Monday, January 30th, at 91 years of age, with her 3 daughters at her side.
She was born in Roslindale, MA on July 8th, 1925, to Ida and Eugene Russell. She graduated from Needham High School, Class of '42, and Bridgewater State College, Class of '46. Besides her family and friends, her greatest joys were following the New England sports teams, the Cape Cod beaches, and reading. She was married to her husband, Steve Bielski (who died in 1990) and raised their family in a home which they built in Needham, MA, where she had been a teacher and Steve a police officer.
She leaves behind her three daughters, Paula Bielski Davis and her husband, Perry of Holliston and Bourne, MA; Carol Bielski Martin and her husband, Bob of East Longmeadow and Falmouth, MA, and Susan Bielski and her husband, Jack Brewer, of Martha's Vineyard and Falmouth, MA. She also leaves 5 grandchildren: Maribeth Davis Haynes and her husband, Gregg; Jennifer Davis Reilly and her husband, Scott, Russell Martin and his wife, Tania, Elizabeth Martin, and Daniel Martin, and 4 great-grandchildren: Shaun and Jake Haynes, and Maggie and John Reilly.
Jane and her family are extremely grateful for the kindness and support given to her by her wonderful caregivers over the past few months.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday, February 2nd from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Avenue, Needham, MA. There will be a funeral mass on Friday, February 3rd at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church located at 1382 Highland Avenue, Needham, MA. Private burial to follow.
