Helen Audibert Stewart of Needham, MA, and formerly of Haverhill, MA., passed peacefully on March 13, 2018, the age of 88 years. She was born in Haverhill, youngest daughter of George and Anna, was a graduate of Haverhill High School, and the spent the earlier years of her life raising her five children. Later on, she worked in Haverhill as a secretary at the Fox School, and then at Industrial Rubber and Plastics. When she moved to Needham in 1991, she worked at Salamone Toyota for many years. Helen was proud of being the daughter of Polish immigrants, her Polish heritage, and growing up in Haverhill's Mt. Washington neighborhood, but was most proud of her children and grandchildren, with whom she enjoyed spending time. Helen was a great cook and family members each have fond memories of her special dishes. Helen loved the ocean and walking the beach, completing crossword puzzles, watching the birds, visiting PEI during lobster season with her husband, and a good cocktail. Having grown up during the Depression, she always felt blessed that she was able to go to Florida during the winter, travel to Europe, see her family earn college degrees, have a home on Cape Cod, and "have more than she ever thought she would." Helen is survived by her husband, Alexander (Sandy) Stewart of Needham, MA., whom she has been with for 35 years, daughters, Susan Audibert of Canton, MA., and Amy Audibert and her husband Richard Carlotta of Westfield, MA., son Jim Audibert and his wife, Jane, of University Park, FL., and grandsons Matthew Audibert and his fiancé, Sarah Colburn, of Phoenix, AZ., and John Audibert and his wife Lauren, of Stamford, CT. She was predeceased by sons David Audibert and Peter Audibert, her first husband Leonard, and sisters Rose Fila, Michalena Buhler, and Sally Senter. She also leaves numerous nieces, great nieces and nephews, and cousins. Private internment services will be planned at her family gravesite in May. Per Helen's wishes, there will be no calling hours.
