George E. "Eddie" Gustafson Jr. of Norwood formerly of Needham passed away on May 4, 2017.
Eddie was born in Framingham and was raised in Needham, He graduated from Needham High in 1977 and attended Dean Jr. College and received a certificate from ITT Tech. He worked as an auto appraiser for Kemper Insurance which later became Arbella Insurance for over 30 years. Eddie was selfless man who was well loved for his humor. He was also an avid hockey fan and had played goalie for the DeMolay team, a lover of country music and enjoyed riding his tractor.
He was the devoted son of Anne M. Roman and the late George E. Gustafson, the loving father of Jeffrey E. of New Bedford, Gregory R. of Norwood, Marc E. of Norfolk and Kaitlyn Podolksi of Holden. Special lifelong friend of Beth Engdahl of Chicago. Beloved brother of Karin L. Ricciardelli of Medfield and Corrina A. Roman-Kreuze of Acton.
Funeral services will be private. Eddie's family will receive friends to celebrate his life on Wed May 10 from 12 Noon till 3 PM in Fellowship Hall at the Needham Congregational Church 1154 Great Plain Ave Needham, and cake will be served.
