Elwin E. "Tommy" Thomson, a Needham resident for over 60 years, passed away on Sunday, April 9th at the Stanley R. Tippett Hospice House in Needham. He was 94 years old.
Born in Prince Edward Island, he served in the Royal Canadian Signal Corp for 7 years. He worked for 20 years as the Facilities Manager at the former Glover Memorial Hospital in Needham until his retirement. Elwin had many hobbies, including clock making. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
He was the beloved husband for 70 years of Eileen (MacInnis) Thomson and the father of Marilyn and Marjorie of Spartanburg SC, Margaret "Peggy" of Albuquerque NM, Elizabeth "Libby" and her husband Roger Pero of Walpole and Tommy of Lancaster. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, on Thursday April 13th at 11 am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visitation will be held on Thursday morning from 10- 11 am prior to the service.
Interment at Needham Cemetery.
