Edythe (Jeffrey) Warren, of Needham, formerly of Waltham, MA and Bronxville, NY died Wednesday September 23, 2015.
Beloved wife of the late Arthur Warren for 60 years. Loving mother of Virginia Fruhan and her husband William of Newton. Devoted grandmother to Matt and Greta Fruhan of Wellesley, William and Lisa Fruhan of Southborough, and Scott Fruhan of San Francisco. Doting great-grandmother to Grace, Jack, Lily, Harper, Tucker, Georgia and Miles Fruhan. Dear friend of the late Walter Kelly.
Edythe received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Barnard College in 1943 and worked at the Guaranty Trust Company in New York City. She lived for almost 50 years in Bronxville, N.Y. where she was President of the Chester Heights Women's Club and President of the Bronxville League of Women Voters. In 1993 she moved to Waltham and upon Arthur's death in 2004, to North Hill in Needham. Edythe loved opera and politics, was an avid NYT crossword solver and converted late in life to be an ardent member of Patriot and Red Sox nations.
There will be a private burial in Newton cemetery and a later memorial service at North Hill.
