Edward Bradlee Hutchins died November 16, 2016 at his home, after battling cancer and heart disease and succumbing to it. He leaves his former wife and best friend Jane Santos, his two sons Thomas Hutchins and Michael Hutchins, as well as his grandson Brandon Hutchins and daughter in law Sonia Polanco. Many close friends will miss him as well. Born in Needham at then Glover Hospital in 1939, raised between Newton and Needham. Ed graduated from Newton High School in 1957 and entered the Navy in 1958. Honorably discharged in 1963. After the Navy he worked for Analog Devices as an electronic model builder till his retirement. Ed Hutchins had a passion for outdoor sports such as hunting, ice fishing, and fishing. Later in life Ed became an avid golfer. He came out of retirement to help Michael start and run his painting company. Ed's family will receive relatives and friends in the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave Needham, on Tuesday November 29th from 4pm to 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed's name may be made to the Worcester County Food bank, 474 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
