Edmund Tocci of Needham, passed away Wednesday February, 7, 2018 at the age of 86. Born in Boston he was the son of the late Patrick & Josephine Tocci of Needham. He graduated from Needham High School and played football for the Needham Rockets. He loved wrestling and later on in life drove the bus for the Needham Wrestling Team.
Edmund worked in the construction field and was the owner of Edmund Tocci & Sons. He loved flying planes and owned one early on in life. He owned boats & motorcycles and spent a lot of time at his camp in Maine with family & friends hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He loved racing his #28 stock car at the Norwood Arena. Edmund played the accordion and had a love for country music. He had a love for the farm life and spent many weekends with his family at the Lone Star Ranch and later on in life purchased Wildwood Stables in Dover, Ma.
Edmund was predeceased by his wife Rosemarie (Barisano) Tocci and his sister Gloria Mercuri. He is survived by his brother, Ronald Tocci of Needham, his four children; Edmund & Nadine Tocci of Needham, Glenn & Celeste Tocci of Auburn, NH, Wayne Tocci of Needham and Debbie Sabitus of Millis, along with 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held at Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave, Needham, on Monday, February 12th from 9:30am-11:00am. A private funeral service for family members only will be held at 11: am. Donations in Edmund's name may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
