Denis Ricciardelli, of South Natick, 86, passed away in the home he built, loved and lived in for over 38 years on April 20, 2018. Denis was born in Boston, MA to Primo and Ribella Ricciardelli on February 16, 1932. He was a 1950 graduate of Needham High School where he met his high school sweetheart and wife of nearly 65 years, Diane Goddard. He spent 2 years in the US Army achieving the rank of Sergeant. He owned his own general contracting business, Elden Builders where he took immense pride in building and remodeling custom homes including building both his family's first home in Needham and a second home and barn later in Natick. Denis was a star baseball pitcher at Needham High and later brought that talent to coaching for many years at the Little and Senior League levels. He was a former member of Needham Golf Club and Sandy Burr Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf with his buddies. Denis was also a member of the Village Club in Needham for many years. He had a passion for sports and was a life-long fan of the Patriots and Red Sox and continued to cheer on his favorite teams to the end. Denis loved his family and took pleasure in spending time with and supporting his children and grandchildren in all of their endeavors. He enjoyed helping his wife Diane with her passion for horses and could often be found in the barn feeding and cleaning stalls, and transporting daughter Dana to horse shows. Aside from his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Gloria Santini and her husband Midge Santini. Denis is survived by his loving wife, Diane Goddard of South Natick and his sister Carol Branstiter and husband Will of Anchorage, AK. He leaves his three children Douglas Ricciardelli and wife Joanne of South Windsor, CT; Denise Legee and husband Gary of Medway, MA; and Dana Christensen and husband Randy of Huntington, MA. Four grandchildren, Heather Ricciardelli of Windsor Locks, CT; Brian Ricciardelli of South Windsor, CT; Stephen Legee of Plainville, MA; and Jennifer Legee of Wethersfield, CT. A private Celebration of Life service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children at
