Daniel O. Corrigan, of Newtonville, Harwich and Naples FL., passed away on Sept 2, 2015. He was 79.
Born and raised in Newton, Dan graduated from Our Lady Help of Christians High School in 1955 and served in the US Army during the Korean War. He served on the Newton Fire Dept. for 32 years, retiring as a Lt. He was a longtime member of Div 14 AOH of Watertown.
He was the beloved husband of the late Marilyn (Calder) Corrigan. Loving father of Daniel O. Jr. and his wife Teresa of Newtonville, Dianne (Corrigan) Bastarache and her husband Joseph Laurie of Marlborough and Brian and his wife Tamara of Mansfield. "Papa" of James, Hailey, Eric, Brendan, Kendra and Brianna.
His funeral will be from the Eaton & Mackay funeral Home 465 Centre St. Newton Corner on Sat Sept 5 at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady Help of Christians Church at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours are Fri 4-8 PM. Interment will follow in Newton Cemetery.
