Charles G. Bannerman of Medway, former longtime resident of Needham, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2017 at home, with his loving family, after a lengthy illness. He was 84. Charles was born in Glasgow, Scotland to the late John and Mary Bannerman. He came to the United States in 1954 and worked for over 30 years as a designer in mechanical engineering. He was a talented artist and photographer and was a former member of the Needham Art Association. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Janette (Martin) Bannerman. Devoted father of Mary Hickey and her husband Brendan of Franklin and Paula Crosby and her husband John of Peabody. Adoring Papa to his six grandchildren; Liam, Jack, Nolan, Caroline, Dylan and Sienna. Loving brother of John Bannerman of Scotland, Maureen Murphy and her husband Richard of Wollaston, and Margaret Bannerman of Franklin. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 16th from 4-8 at the Eaton Funeral Home, 1351 Highland Ave Needham. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Church, 1360 Highland Ave Needham on Friday, November 17th at 10 am. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Needham. Donation's in Charles' memory may be made to the Pine Street Inn, 444 Harrison Ave, Boston MA 02118.
