Carmen P. Lombardo died peacefully at his home in Newton Highlands on June 19, 2017. He was 91.
Carmen graduated from Newton High and the University of Miami and Mass College of Podiatry. He served in the US Army during WW II, and spent most of his life in Newton other than the 20 years he raised his family in Needham.
Carmen was the loving father of Betty Ann Rogers of Easton, CT, Barbara Sesskin of Westwood, Bernadette Lombardo and her husband Kevin Bilodeau of Boxford and Cathi Lombardo and her husband Bob Price of Wellesley, the grandfather of John, Griffin, Trevor, Averie, Henry, Merrick, Taylor and Regis and great grandfather of Vincent. He was the brother of Stephen Lombardo and his wife Rita of Needham and the late Anthony Lombardo.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a visiting hour on Fri June 23 from 10:45 to 11:45 in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St Newton Corner followed by his Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church Newton Centre at 12 Noon. Interment will take place in Newton Cemetery.
Please omit flowers.
Family members would like to thank Deion "Ann" Clarke for her devoted kindness and care for Carmen in the last year of his life. Special thanks to our mother, Dorothy McBrine, for her care & support of our Dad. She was chauffeur, grocery shopper, and errand-runner for many years. She was the love of his life.
