Aredis V. Kojoyian, sometimes known as Konji, Art and Coach, born Nov 7, 1927 in Watertown, MA passed away with family at his side on Feb 17, 2018.
Son of the late Miriam and Vahan Kojoyian, loving husband of the late Elizabeth Kojoyian for 27 years, beloved father of Armen and Arty Kojoyian. Proud grandfather of Michael and Zachary Kojoyian. Survived by niece Melanie Kojoyian and nephew Gregory Kojoyian of his late brother Sarkis Kojoyian.
Aredis graduated from Westboro High School, Westboro, MA and received his BA from George Washington University and received a Master's Degree in Zoology from Miami University. He was a Teacher/Coach at Westboro High School, Westboro, MA, Newton South High School, Newton, MA, and coached football at St. John's, Washington, DC. He also coached in Northern Virginia at South Lakes High School, James Madison High School and Paul the VI during his retirement. He was inducted into the Massachusetts High School Football and Wrestling Coaches "Hall of Fame"
His funeral service will be held on Mon Feb 26 at 11 AM in St. Stephen's Armenian Apostolic Church, 38 Elton Ave. Watertown followed by interment in Newton Cemetery. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St Newton Corner on Sun Feb 25 from 4-7 PM
