Condolence & Memory Journal

Dear Audrey and all of the family of Carol. My sister Sandy just told me of Carol's passing. She was an inspiration to me as a young girl. I admired her for her career and her great sense of humor. I am sure all her nieces and nephews, whom she spoke of often, miss her tremendously.

Dear Audrey,

I am just learning of Carol's passing and I'm disheartened by the news.

Carol was a sweat lady, and a lady she was. Thoughtful, giving, funny, creative and always full of life. She was a friend to everyone she met and generous with her time. What a wonderful woman she was.

Rest in peace, dearest Carol.

I was so disheartened to learn, when calling to wish her a Happy Easter, that Carol had passed away some time earlier--only a few days after we'd spoken in February. Back in our BBDO years, we shared an apartment, and one of my great pleasures was to be invited to dinners with her warm and loving family--who acted as surrogates for my own "distant" family. An important and positive influence, both in my life and over the years, I will greatly miss my Maid of Honor, valued friend, and frequent hostess during trips on the way to Maine over the last 20 years. Love you, Carol

We send our deepest sympathy on Carol's passing. She was a wonderful, charming, and loving person. My family and I have many fond memories of her from church, the Guild of St Francis, and the neighborhood. I am sorry we were away at the time of her passing and could not attend her funeral. I am sure she is up in heaven hanging out with my mother having a cup of tea discussing the happenings in Newton.

With sympathy, Dr Maura (Daly) Iversen, Christina and Erik

We are so sorry we cannot be at the service to celebrate Carol's life. Carol was a smart, sassy lady who showed everyone that the best way to live life was to be genuine and loving. She was always there with a hug, a smile and the best welcome hello darling'. We love her and Carol will always be in our hearts. God bless. Our thoughts are with her family she loved with all she had. Much love, Karen and Scott

Carol was my dearest friend for over 44 years. To say she will be missed is such an understatement. Special people like her don't often come along and when they do it restores your faith in humanity. For those of us left behind, the feeling of loss is just daunting. Rest in peace dear girl. You were much loved.

I am so terribly sorry to hear of Carol's passing. I was her neighbor for quite a few years in Natick before she moved, and she was like an Aunt to me. We had so many wonderful chats and I always kept an eye on her, as I am sure she did me. One of my favorite memories of Carol is that after shoveling her car out once during a storm, she figured out it had been me and surprised me with Red Sox tickets (box seats!) as a thank you. What a sweet and lovely woman. She will be missed. Much love to you all, Dyan xo

I met Carol through my sister, Mary Poisson, way back in 1985 when she came over to Scotland for our parents 40th Anniversary. She was truly a wonderful, classy lady and I and my family will miss her greatly. We feel privileged to have her as a friend and will never forget her. RIP Carol, we all love you. I met Carol when I worked at NRC (Norton) in the 6o's & remember her as such a beautiful person in every way. She was always so quick to laugh & her heart was always in the right place. I used to visit at the house on Floral Street. She on the first floor; Audrey & family on the second. She was an incredibly devoted daughter; sister; aunt & friend, while carving out a very successful career.... Those are rare qualities few people possess. I admired her tremendously, & was in awe of her ability to love completely.

RIP Dear Carol!

I had the honor of working with Carol in the late 1960's at BBDO Advertising Agency in Boston. We remained friends until the end. Carol set a standard for care and compassion for others that is rarely found in another human being.
She will be missed, but we all know we may have lost a friend, but gained an Angel. Rest in peace dear lady.
