Herb, was brilliant, but very humble..I remember him coming home from taking the college SATs and I asked him how he did..his answer was "one question bothered him" when he got his results he had scored an 800 in math and 799 in English..he really meant ONE question bothered him..I'll never forget him.

Herb was a wonderful friend and colleague. We worked together for many years on a variety of programs at Lincoln Laboratory, and I knew him as an extremely talented engineer who always worked hard to make the rest of us look good. He had a great sense of humor, and a laugh that was contagious. Herb had many friends at the Laboratory, and will be greatly missed.

I regret not calling Herb these last few months. I first met him at Northeastern as a young physics major in 1965. We became lab partners and worked together in one way or another for many years, eventually becoming office mates at Lincoln Laboratory. Words simply can not convey the loss. My deepest sympathies to Ann and all of his family.

Herb was a GREAT guy, friend and coworker ! We did some field work together, traveled for the work, and worked long hours together. He was very easy to get along with, trustworthy, fun, good sense of humor, very intelligent and willing to always share knowledge. I miss him a great deal. My deepest sympathies for his friends and family !
