Sharon was a loving friend to so many people. I am glad I had a chance to know her when we sang in the Back Bay Chorale together. Sending blessings.

We learned of Sharon's passing today. We were clients but more importantly friends. Although mostly a long distance relationship for more than 20 years, when we did see her or whenever we spoke she made us feel like we were two of her closest friends. Sharon was remarkable in so many ways. Her courage, persistent positive attitude and generosity was an example we will try to emulate. Boston has lost one of its finest. Eternal rest grant unto her O lord and let the perpetual light shine upon her.

I'm so sorry to hear about Sharon's passing. I met her when my son attended the choir school and will always remember her as a positive force --- beautiful and strong. When she walked into a room, you could feel her energy and enthusiasm. The choir school was so lucky to have her as their benefactor and cheerleader.

My mother would have said " oh dear, oh dear, how sad". So I do too.

Sharon and I knew each other by being my financial adviser with my small connection to the choir school, and by enjoying a very occasional glass of wine in Harvard Square.

I called her one morning on her cell phone after watching the choir perform on the ABC national morning news program Good Morning America. She was thrilled about the performance although she was in doctor's office waiting room.

Her smile and sincerity permeated her and her whereabouts. She certainly made people most welcome in her company.

May she be blessed by having God assign her the job of being an angel overlooking the school and her nieces and nephews.

To Sharon, my life-long friend -
As I am swarmed with memories of our friendship and the thousands of hours we must have spent together, it is impossible to hone in on a favorite - from Newton Country Day, proms, late nights in Lexington to see the dawn on "The Great Meadow", rooming together in college and at 1757 Beacon, double dating, singing and harmonizing for hours on end, skiing through the Alps, dinners in my tiny Parisian apartment with plenty of wine - trying to make it as "haute" as we could on a budget, laughing, always laughing, heartfelt conversations, you're cheerleading me to be the best I could be, our foursome for our cherished "Girls' Dinners", they are all so precious and will remain so in my heart. You are the loveliest, most generous, beautiful, talented, smart, giving, steadfast, loyal,
brave friend I have ever known. I would like to be more like you when I grow up!
We never had a cross word over 50 years. Thank you for letting me create your magical garden last summer. I felt like a little piece of me was with you every day. I have appreciated having you in my life more than I can express. May you delight in your new surroundings which you so richly deserve.

I was lucky to know Sharon through my friendship with Kate Meany. Sharon was and is a beautiful soul and person. she truly made her mark in this world and will be deeply missed.

We are so sorry to hear about Sharon's passing. She was such an amazing lady. My husband had a sign made up for her personal parking spot at St. Paul's. Sharon was at all the events and always had a smile. My two boys went to the choir school and would see her around and talk with her. Sharon will be greatly missed.

It is with great sadness that I hear about the passing of Sharon.
I met Sharon because my son attended the Boston Archdiocesan Choir School in Cambridge.

Sharon was a fixture at Sunday masses and her family should know how much choir school student parents like myself treasured her presence and her contributions to the school.

Sharon always had an encouraging word and smile for the students as they processed into mass and frequently went out of her way to pay a compliment to the boys. Her actions spoke volumes as she never missed a chance to participate in services and to make a kind and thoughtful remark on how well the boys were doing in representing the school.

All of the parents at the school were grateful to Sharon for lending her professional expertise and guidance to trustees and to the overall operations which led to academic and musical excellence. Most of all though we appreciated her constant support and her sincere and genuine interest for the boys at the Archdiocesan Choir School. Her absence leaves us feeling very sad. Sharon was one of the many reasons families valued the school and what the school had to offer. God bless her.

Oh Shawnya, I can't believe you left us so soon! We share so many memories: hours of playing guitar and singing harmonies in college. Skiing at Killington in double-digit below zero weather. Playing long tennis matches with infinite energy. Partying at the Lexington house with Isabel. Eating submarine sandwiches with swaddles of mayo. Talking talking and more talking. It has been my great pleasure to work with Sharon over the past 28-30 years. We have worked as a team serving hundreds of our mutual clients.
She deeply cared for her clients, and worked tirelessly to help them achieve their objectives.

She was an inspiration professionally and personally. She battled her illness for years without complaint or self pity.

Sharon and I worked together for many years at PW and UBS. We shared a love of art and often chatted about little things. It's those small, everyday occurrences that I'll always remember. I knew Sharon only in as my financial adviser, but she was so much more than that. We were friends who took time once a year to talk about our lives and our dreams. She spoke of her travels in Europe, wine country, Italy...her zest for life was well apparent. She coached my husband and I to have dreams, and her job was to be sure we realized them. And she did this in such a personal way, not just with dollars and cents. I always left our meeting feeling like it was all possible,...and if Sharon said it was possible,of course it is!
My deepest condolences to her family and friends, I know you will all miss her like my family and I will.
