Anne S. "Nancy" Concannon Obituary

Sorry to hear about Nancy!s passing. In the early 60's she was my mentor and friend st Driscoll School. We taught next door to each other for 3 years. She certainly taught me how to be a good teacher!

To all the Concannon family, I met Nancy when I began teaching at the Driscoll School. She was so much fun and could tell stories with the best of them . She had a wicked sense of humor and a great laugh . I know I speak for all her friends that we have missed her for quite a while and now I feel good to know that she's at peace.

My deepest condolences to all who love Ms.Concannon...I was blessed to have her as my 3rd grade teacher...she has left such a beautiful memory it has lasted 37 years....She is dearly missed.

And each one of the four of us in the Wolf family (Rob, David, Barbara too) basked in the attention, the joy, the hopefulness that was such a part of her classroom and was everlasting, as we grew up and came back and visited with her. Always with a big smile, she conveyed a can-do attitude and abounding love. I know I speak for my many buddies from that class (including Gary Arber and Randy Jones and Bob Maloney) when I say that she made each of us feel great. I can still recall playing the piano for "The Lonely Goatherd" (Sound of Music), while Gary played the goat. Nancy soothed us and prodded us to begin to learn. Today, I'm a rabbi - the liberal type - and wherever I go, I try to impart joy. Know that I carry with me the blessings she imbued. May her memory be a blessing. Ms. Concannon was a much-beloved teacher at the Driscoll School. I was lucky to have her, as were many others, and carry her lessons and example to this day. Much love to her family; may your memories give you great comfort in the days to come.

My sincere condolences
to the Cocannon family. I remember Nancy well from years in Pocasset where she loved the beach and always a good book. May she rest in peace.
