Eleanor F. Banner Obituary

Eleanor F. Banner, age 101, of Newtonville died on June 6, 2018.
Daughter of the late John H. and Agnes (McNamara) Banner, she was predeceased by 4 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Eleanor was born in Northampton, and lived in Newtonville for over 70 years. She had a long career with the federal government, retiring as the executive secretary to the Admiral of the Boston Naval Shipyard. She was active at St John's Episcopal Church in Newtonville, serving on the vestry and volunteering at its thrift shop. She enjoyed horse racing, travel and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
