Sending condolences and warm thoughts from Oklahoma City. I have many happy and fond memories of Evie at her homes in Belmont and the Cape, and in the respective homes of her sister Dottie. Just as I, as the twin of Dottie's daughter-in-law, consider myself a pseudo daughter-in-law, I've always felt like family to Evie and could identify with her as the single sister for most of her life. She was such a strong woman to survive the early loss

It makes sense that Evie would quickly follow her dear sister, Dottie, in death. They spent a lifetime together, separated only by a driveway. I'll remember Evie's presence at my wedding in Oklahoma City, her daily 10 AM visits for coffee in West Falmouth, and her genuine concern about the welfare of my own sister, Paula, and her daughter. She will be missed, but will live on through her artwork including a personal needlepoint in my home and various pieces

Dear "MacDonald Clan",
Such wonderful and fun memories I have of growing up with you at the UP! Your mom/grandmother was so gracious and loving. When I married, we always thought of your parents as a dynamite couple for the Lord - always sharing with others us in the name and love of Christ - and in many cases that was their words of encouragement and kindness. They made a great impact on our lives.
Sending much love and praying for you all,
Mertie (Scribner) & Fred Potter

What lovely memories we have of this dear Sister in Christ! May God comfort you all and give you peace.
1Thessalonians 4:13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.
With our love,
Jim and Anne
