James Stuart McConathy Obituary

James Stuart McConathy, of Newton Highlands passed away on Dec 2, 2016. He was 71.
Jim was raised in Newton and graduated from Sacred Heart elementary school and Catholic Memorial High School and attended the Butera School of Art in Boston. He had worked for the Boston Opera Group as a set designer. Throughout his life, Jim participated in activities and benefited from the services of Elliot House in Newton Highlands.
Son of the late Osbourne W. and Mary F. (Kaveney) McConathy. Brother of Alice George and her husband Thomas N. Yarmouthport, Rita Bailey and her husband Gary of Needham and the late Osbourne McConathy who passed away on Nov 12, 2016. He is also survived by 8 nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visiting hour in Sacred Heart Church, Newton Centre on Sat Dec 10 beginning at 9:30 followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Needham.
